Ian Goo is an automotive advanced designer and design researcher.

He got B.E on industrial design in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and M.Des on transportation design in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. After a short stay in BAIC Design, he was recruited by FAW-Volkswagen Design in 2013.

In FAW-Volkswagen, Ian created the design research team and standardized the team workflow. The team provided valuable design preferences of Chinese market and consumers to Volkswagen Design Team in Wolfsburg, by benchmarks and consumer researches. The team also participate in series of advanced design projects and design strategy establishments.

He also helped to establish the FAW-Volkswagen Advanced Design Centre in Hangzhou, which is a great boost for the capacity of FAW-Volkswagen Design.

Outside the job, Ian is also a influential KOL online (with over 65,000 followers in Zhihu). He is glad to share ideas and knowledge as a designer and petrolhead.
